The site of Daniel and Rebecca (Bryan) Boone’s grave in Kentucky. The larger bones of the famed couple were reinterred at this peaceful location in 1845, having been moved there from their initial burial site in Missouri.

This fort (reconstructed) was a pivotal site in the story of the nation and also of its founder, Daniel Boone, who defended it with his fellow settlers from British-backed Native American attack during the Revolutionary War. A fascinating walk back through time, this location also offers period-specific demonstrations and displays of Boone-related items.
