Welcome to The Boone Society
Our mission is to “preserve America’s frontier history through education.”We are an organization dedicated to the history and genealogy of the Boone and other families on the American frontier.
Our Story
The Boone Society, Inc. is an association of descendants, genealogists, historians, and others interested in the life and times of Daniel Boone, his family lineage, and the broader American frontier. Since its founding in 1996, the organization has served as a resource for researchers, a connection point for genealogists, and a provider of bibliographies and scholarly publications.
The Society operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit entity with a primary focus on education and preservation. It publishes a quarterly magazine, hosts biennial conferences, offers Virtual Heritage programs, and emails a monthly Boone Bulletin to its members. Although the Society publishes articles related to family history, genealogical assistance is limited.
Whether you are a Boone descendant or just interested in history, you are cordially invited to join a community dedicated to the preservation and study of the American frontier experience.
