Defiance, Missouri
This limestone house overlooking the Femme Osage Creek Valley was built by Daniel and Rebecca Boone’s youngest son Nathan between 1804 and 1810. Daniel and Rebecca lived their final years here, until the passing of Rebecca in 1813 and Daniel in 1820. The home and grounds are owned and managed by the Saint Charles County Parks Department. Visitors can tour the house and more than a dozen historic buildings relocated from within 50 miles of the site. There are many events held during the year, including Artisan Days with interpreters in period costume and a Candlelight Christmas Walk.
